Initially this role will be to support the supervisor in the department. This will involve both client-facing work and file management. This position is with a view to support the applicant in becoming a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Panel Accreditation which will be funded by the firm.
The applicant will need to be organised, hard working with a commitment to representing vulnerable clients and have excellent communication skills. Previous positions in mental health law is desirable but not essential if transferable knowledge and skill set can be demonstrated.
Mental Health Panel Accredited Fee Earner
We seek a fee earner who is already a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Panel Accreditation. The applicant will need experience in all aspects of mental health work. Commitment and experience in representing patients at the Tribunal in both civil and forensic cases under the Mental Health Act is essential. You will be expected to build and maintain your own caseload. This position is open to both newly qualified and/or experienced fee earners.
