odonnells Solicitors is a small firm in Preston, Lancashire, specialising in mental health, Court of Protection welfare work and community care. We hold legal aid contracts in mental health and community care categories. We have a strong reputation in these areas, having been involved in reported cases in the Court of Protection, particularly in relation to deprivation of liberty. We have two Accredited Legal Representatives (welfare) and our managing director is a previous winner of the LAPG Mental Health Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year.

Due to expanding volumes of work, we are recruiting a Court of Protection Solicitor or legal executive, who will be able to manage a caseload of welfare matters, including s.16 and s.21A applications. Previous experience of working with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and under legal aid requirements is necessary.
There are opportunities for career progression within the firm towards supervisor and management roles for the right candidate.
Salary and terms will be negotiable and will reflect the experience or potential of the candidate.
