Advertising and Sponsorship Policy

This is the MHLA Policy on Advertising and Sponsorship.

It covers:

  • Courses
  • Jobs
  • Services
  • Conference Advertising
  • Conference Sponsorship

The MHLA advertises through email, the MHLA website and live events.  All advertising is accepted at the discretion of the Committee or its delegated subcommittee or officer or other representative.  All advertising requests should be directed to MHLA Admin who are authorised to deal with them in accordance with this policy or direct them to either the Conference Sub-Committee or the full Committee.

If a decision needs to be made at short notice and there is insufficient time to refer the matter to the Committee then the Chair is empowered to make a decision.

The Committee, the Conference Sub-Committee (when exercising delegated power) or the Chair (when making a short-notice decision) should have regard to this policy but are empowered to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.  Any exception made by the Conference Sub-Committee or Chair should be discussed at the next Committee meeting.

The professional biography of anyone presenting a course or speaking at Conference is not generally considered to be advertising.

This Policy will be reviewed annually by the Committee at the first meeting in the calendar year and the content may be changed by a simple majority vote of attending members of the quorate Committee.
