An intensive, interactive introduction to practice in the Court of Protection. This course is primarily aimed at practitioners with little or no experience in conducting matters before the Court and those seeking a practical foundation to undertaking proceedings in the Court. The course will cover health and welfare matters, deprivation of liberty, funding and, to a lesser extent, issues relating to property and affairs.
Both trainers are experienced practitioners in the Court of Protection.
The course will cover:
- A succinct introduction to the MCA
- Practice and Procedure- making the Court of Protection Rules work for you
- Legal Aid
- Deprivation of Liberty
If you are thinking of adding Court of Protection work to your practice this course will be an ideal introduction.
“Excellent course, invaluable insight and education of COP for both local authorities and private practice.”
