OVERVIEW:

This course will broaden practitioners’ knowledge of the peer review process and the peer review ‘Improving your Quality’ guidance.

The Legal Aid Agency uses peer review to assess the quality of legal advice given to clients. A sample is taken from a firm and reviewed by an independent Peer Reviewer who is a lawyer with experience in the relevant area of law. Peer Reviewers are taken from the Panel of Independent Legal Practitioners who assess the quality of work by the professionals against a set criteria and level of performance as agreed with the professional community.

Our trainer for this course is a current LAA independent costs assessor and a peer reviewer.
