Overview:

This course is designed primarily for practitioners seeking re-accreditation. It reviews key legal and procedural developments from the past three years and provides an opportunity to consider these changes alongside the re-accreditation process. Relevant content has been incorporated into the general legal update to reflect the phased implementation of reforms to the Mental Health Act.

The course will also be of interest to those wishing to further develop their knowledge of mental health law and practice. A substantial case-study element will explore areas of law and practice central to tribunal representation, including professional ethics, pre-hearing preparation and tribunal procedure.
