1. Psychiatric Diagnosis and Medication

This course will ask why does diagnosis matter and what to look out for in preparing your case. It will discuss common psychiatric diagnoses and symptoms, and examine psychiatric medication, its side effects and compliance monitoring, together with how to cross-examining medical witnesses.

2. Risk – Health, Safety, Protection

Date: 27th May 2014

Time: 2.30pm-5.30pm

Venue: Lincoln House Chambers, Manchester

This course will cover the following topics:

1) Medical Records – why look at them and how to interpret them
2) What is Risk and why does the Tribunal concern itself with Risk?
3) The ‘3 limbs of Risk’ – what issues and factors does the Tribunal consider, and why?
4) Appropriate Medical Treatment
